In the UK, 26th December is called Boxing Day, and it would be a shame to visit my parents in North Norfolk (as we did for Christmas), without a visit to one of the many beautiful beaches.   To walk off the excesses of Christmas Day we went to Wells Next The Sea.

I wasn’t sure why it’s called Boxing Day, so decided to look it up (what did we do before Google?!);  Boxing Day is traditionally the day following Christmas Day, when servants and tradesmen would receive gifts from their superiors[1] or employers, known as a “Christmas box”. (Wikipedia)
